Course Overview Develop a strong foundation in one of the world’s most recognised and widely practised massage techniques with the Phoenix Education Introduction to Swedish Massage Workshop. This comprehensive one-day, hands-on workshop has been designed for beginners, beauty therapists, wellness professionals, and those wishing to refresh or expand their existing skills. Throughout the day, participants will gain the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience required to safely perform a professional full-body Swedish massage treatment. Under the guidance of an experienced trainer, you will learn the core principles of Swedish massage, including correct body mechanics, pressure control, client positioning, draping, and treatment flow. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to confidently deliver a relaxing and therapeutic full-body massage while maintaining professional standards of client care. ⸻ What is Swedish Massage? Swedish massage is one of the most recognised and widely requested massage techniques worldwide. It is designed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, reduce muscular tension, and support overall wellbeing through a combination of smooth, flowing movements and targeted soft tissue techniques. Suitable for clients of all ages and experience levels, Swedish massage is often the ideal treatment for individuals seeking stress relief, relaxation, or gentle muscular recovery. ⸻ No prior massage experience is required. Cancellation Policy
These policies apply to all clients of Phoenix Remedial & Recovery. By booking or attending an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to the following. Treatment Consent & Client Acknowledgement * Treatment may include remedial massage, dry needling, cupping and other manual therapy techniques, where appropriate. The nature and purpose of treatment will be explained prior to treatment. * Clients understand that treatment may cause temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, soreness or marks resembling bruising. * Temporary reactions may include headache, fatigue, increased soreness or an increase in symptoms within the treated area. These reactions are generally short-term and may last approximately 24–48 hours. * Treatment outcomes vary between individuals. Results cannot be guaranteed, immediate improvement may not occur, and multiple treatments may be required. * Clients should advise their therapist of any health changes, concerns, discomfort or adverse reactions and are encouraged to ask questions regarding treatment. * By proceeding, clients consent to treatment and acknowledge the normal and foreseeable risks associated with treatment. * Clients accept the normal and expected treatment responses outlined above and release Phoenix Remedial & Recovery, its owners, employees, contractors and practitioners from claims or liability arising solely from these expected responses. Security Booking Deposit * A $50 security booking deposit is required to secure an appointment. * The deposit remains on the client’s account as a rolling security deposit and transfers to secure future appointments unless otherwise arranged. * The full treatment fee is payable after each appointment. The $50 deposit is not deducted from the treatment fee or considered an additional charge. It remains on the client’s account to secure their next appointment. * The deposit also provides security for late cancellations, rescheduling or failure to attend. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy * A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. * Less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the $50 security booking deposit. * If forfeited, a new $50 security booking deposit must be paid before another appointment can be booked. By booking with Phoenix Remedial & Recovery, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to these policies.
